First Snow

I was getting ready to go grocery shopping on Tuesday when my friend Michelle called and asked if we wanted to play in the snow. I hadn't even looked outside--it was coming down pretty good. Her son, Josh, is just 2 months older than Gordon and they play together really well. I am glad she called; we had so much fun playing in the snow.

There is this little hill just perfect for sledding right outside of our apartment. Gordon especially loved it!

Gordon is TWO!

Gordon had his second birthday on Friday and we opened his presents Friday night and then had a small birthday party with some friends from our ward. I was so nervous because I decided to make a "Cars" birthday cake and didn't think I could pull it off. Well, without Chris's help--I wouldn't have been able to. I had one of my montly breakdowns the night before the party. Thank goodness my husband has enough sense to talk me out of my irrational state of mind. Anyway here are some pictures of the cake.

The party turned out great. I didn't get a lot of pictures because it was pretty low key and we just sat around and talked while the kids played. Gordon's play food and helium balloons were a big hit. I cannot believe Gordon is two; he is such a big boy!

Hello World!

Okay, so it won't really be the world that is reading this, just my family and friends but it is amazing what some people can do with these things. I really don't plan on being that interesting, sorry people. I just thought it would be a nice journal of sorts where I can write my daily frustrations and funnies.

So Gordon's second birthday is tomorrow and I have been thinking and planning for it for the last three weeks. Pathetic, I know. I am more excited than the birthday boy himself. Who can blame me for wanting to get toys that he will play with for longer than a week. Well I will have to let you all know how it goes. We are having a few friends over on Saturday to have a little party. Hopefully everything that I have planned out in my mind will come to pass, but it never does.
